PROFESSIONAL ACTOR | ARTS EDUCATION LEADER | TEACHING ARTIST | HIGHER EDUCATION
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Alex.
I’m an actor, educator, arts leader, and professional over-committer to things I love. I trained at the Yale School of Drama, which means I take storytelling seriously, but not myself too seriously (most of the time.)
Over the years, I’ve performed all over the country, from Shakespeare to new works, in theaters like Florida Studio Theatre, The Guthrie Theater, and Yale Rep.
When I’m not on stage, you’ll probably find me in a classroom, like at State College of Florida, where I teach theater and get to watch students discover their voices Teaching keeps me grounded, curious, and constantly inspired.
Outside of theater, I like to stay busy. I’ve run 11 marathons and am training for my 12th, which means I willingly wake up at questionable hours to run very long distances for fun. I used to host trivia (so yes, I have a lot of random facts ready at all times), and I still love a good challenge question.
I also have a minor in dance from UC Berkeley and recently decided it would be a great idea to start taking salsa lessons, so we’ll see how that goes.
If none of that is happening, I’m probably hanging out with my dog Moose, who is easily the best part of my day.
Let's make some work.
